Hi, I'm Tim Mahony, a cellist, guitarist and composer available for recordings, gigs, film scoring and other music related projects. I like to combine traditional cello playing and guitar with my love of modern genres like post-rock, shoegaze, noise and modern folk. I play everything from traditional cello arrangements to more unique/experimental parts using effects & looping.

I'm set up for collaborative online work from my home studio and I can also do in-person session work at commercial studios. I'm happy working with pre-written arrangements or improvising/workshopping parts on the spot.

Bands & performers: I have extensive gig experience and a pedalboard to match most guitarists. I'm available for everything from straight acoustic cello accompaniment to live looping with effects. I'm always happy to join in on a gig, even if it's only for 1 or 2 songs.
